Shoppers urged to remain vigilant when putting groceries in car after trolley scam

A woman has issued a warning to all shoppers after she was scammed out of £1,000 during her trip to the supermarket.

Lola Sledmere said she believes that three men were working together in a bid to steal her money. She explained that one man distracted her whilst another snuck in and took her card.

However before this, the 88-year-old said after seeing CCTV footage of what happened, she said it seems that a third person was loitering behind her as she entered her PIN at the checkout and all three men were working together, reports Hull Live.
