Tesco has issued a warning to it's Clubcard members over vouchers which are due to expire. The supermarket has said it's identified £17m worth of unspent Tesco Clubcard vouchers that need to be claimed by May 31.
The vouchers which are due to expire were originally issued in May 2020, and if not redeemed, they cannot be used by customers. Tesco is alerting people to use the vouchers before it's too late.
Customers who use a Clubcard earn a point for every pound spent in store, helping them get more for their money which therefore results in spending less in the supermarket. Reported by BirminghamLive, a customer officer at Tesco said they want to help their customers in the current 'tough' circumstances.

Chief Customer Officer at Tesco, Alessandra Bellini, said: "We know it's tough right now, so we want to show our customers how we can help them spend less and keep more in their pockets – whether to manage the rising cost of living or do something good for themselves and loved ones."
Here's how you can find out how many points you have, when they are about to expire and how you can spend them. Tesco has said it will contact customer's if they have Clubcard vouchers that are due to expire through email, providing they have their contact details.
Customers can also check their Clubcard voucher balance and expiry dates through the Tesco website or app. All you need to do is log in to your account, check your points summary and vouchers located on the left-hand side.
Additionally Clubcard vouchers can be spent in-store at Tesco with every point being worth 1p. They can also be tripled in worth if you choose to exchange them for a Reward's Partner voucher. Tesco's 100+ Clubcard Reward Partners include Pizza Express, Cineworld and Alton Towers. You can see more here.
Not only can you get great days out but it can also help with the cost of filling up your car at Tesco petrol stations- which is ideal with the rise of fuel prices currently. According to the supermarket, the vouchers expiring at the end of May could fill up nearly 200,000 family cars.
