Beauty buffs are heaping praise on a £25 Boots box which is full of high-end and premium anti-ageing creams, serums and makeup products. The combined price of the individual products amounts to over £98, while one of the skin creams alone is worth £45.
With Spring now in full force, Boots has brought back its popular £25 Spring skincare box, which is filled with high end beauty products. Online retailer LookFantastic is also offering something similar - a £60 Egg containing £201-worth of products, while Glossybox has reduced its Joy of Beauty box containing £124-worth of products to £15.
The Boots Spring Skincare box for 2023, which is available to buy online only, contains eleven products which have a combined value of over £98. The budget beauty box is packed with 11 beauty treats, which are made up of 7 full-size and 4 deluxe-minis from big name brands including No7, Byoma, Mario Badescu, Burt's Bees and Pixi.
The standout hero inside the £25 beauty and skincare bundle is, without doubt, the No7 LABORATORIES LINE CORRECTING anti-ageing Booster Serum - which is worth £44.95 alone - almost double the price of the entire box. The No7 LABORATORIES LINE CORRECTING anti-ageing Booster Serum has been branded 'botox in a bottle', and is claimed to knock five years off the age of those who use it.
The anti-ageing serum has been clinically proven to visibly reduce the appearance of even the deepest, most stubborn lines and wrinkles, and contains Matrixyl 3000+ - which is No7’s powerful peptide blend that supports the skins natural springs providing elasticity and bounce, which depletes as people age.
The £44.95 anti-ageing serum is powered to intensively target 6 key wrinkle zones: forehead, crows feet, lip, between brows, under eyes and nasolabial folds. It's been praised by shoppers on the Boots website.
Awarding the serum five stars, one shopper said: "I've been using this for just 2 weeks and I can see an amazing difference in a deep frown line on my forehead. The product feels lovely to apply and most importantly it really works!" A second said: "This stuff is magic. Though expensive ( can save by using the offers) it is worth every penny."
A third raved: "Been using this for a few months and I can see a difference, love it!" A fourth said: "I have only been using this for a few weeks but already I can see a difference to my deeper lines. I know they will never disappear but to see them soften is a huge plus."
Another standout product in the £25 Boots Skincare Edit Beauty Box worth £98 is the NIVEA Q10 Power Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Face Cream - worth £11. The Nivea cream effectively fights lines & wrinkles and leaves skin visibly firmer, thanks to Q10, a powerful antioxidant and natural ageing defence, and Creatine, which works effectively against wrinkles.
Reviewing the NIVEA Q10 Power Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Face Cream, one shopper said: "I buy different expensive creams and really the cream that I always love the most and that always works is Nivea. I am in my 30's now and my skin does get dry, especially in the winter. This cream plumps, softens and hydrates my skin. I have also used the Q10 night cream and in the morning my skin feels so nice and soft. I have tried much more expensive creams without that effect. My mum met an elderly lady once and she had really lovely skin. She said to my mum that she had never smoked and she had always used Nivea!"
A second said: "Nivea Q10 is really good for my skin, it blends into the skin and feels softer." A third wrote: "I struggle to find face products with SPF that don't give me a reaction. This one is great - leaves skin soft and smooth and doesn't irritate around my eyes. At the end of the day when I'm cleansing my face my skin feels noticeably plump and smooth. It is a little shiny but I'm oily skinned anyway so I'm used to everything looking shiny in me, I just dust some powder over the top to take it down a little. Will definitely re-purchase."
The Byoma Balancing Face Mist, worth £11.99, has also impressed shoppers. The spray moisturises and hydrates the skin, and helps to protect its natural barrier for a healthier looking complexion. It's also incredibly refreshing when the weather gets warmer.
One shopper said of the £11.99 spray: "I got this for my wife and she loves it. She uses it every day and says that it leaves her skin super smooth and she has no issues with dryness or dead skin. It easily fixes minor skin issues. Highly recommended." Another said: "My skin is more dry nowadays and it’s perfect for my skin it keeps it hydrated and refreshed throughout the day highly recommended this product."
