Shoppers saying 'they're never turning on their lights again' after LADBaby's viral hack

Now more than ever, it seems that most of the UK are putting their heads together in order to save money on their energy bills.

Plenty of people are opting to use their air fryers instead of firing up the ovens, swapping tumble dryers for airing racks and the list keeps on growing, with the cost of living continuing to rise, we expect the list of hacks to increase too.

Popular YouTuber and content creator LadBaby recently posted a hack to his 1.1 million followers, which has since taken social media by storm, in a five minute video titled ' When Dad hacks lighting in the energy crisis '.

In the video he cleverly arranges motion-sensored lighting (usually used outdoors) inside his kitchen, instead of turning on the kitchen lights. The unique alternative provided a powerful light throughout the space and the best news? Unsurprisingly, it's much cheaper to run than your mains.

Whilst this is by no means a long term solution, many have praised the social media personality and declared that 'they'll never turn on their lights again'.

And on YouTube, fans have flocked in their droves to express their delight at the simple but genius idea. One person said: "I thought this was going to be a joke. But now I'm on my way to home bargains."

Another person happily stated: "You really have helped my parents through this hard time. Thank you so much. You have changed our lives forever."

Comments even came through from those outside the UK too. Another fan said: "Just have to say that we have something called 'loadshedding ' in South Africa at the moment. Basically, sometimes up to 3 times a day, our electricity is turned off as there isn't enough. This hack is actually brilliant for us Saffas!!! Well done."
