Shoppers race to stock up on £1 full size chocolate bars of favourite Christmas sweets

It may be a little too early to be thinking about Christmas, so we won't give you a countdown just yet.

But some shoppers are already thinking about the big event thanks to a new product launch - and it's a staple sweet for the whole of December.

Taking to Facebook's Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, one shopper told the groups two million members what they had found. In their caption they wrote: "Quality Street Bars!! £1 each at Heron Foods."

The shop is an English chain however they will soon be available to buy across the UK - and that includes Scotland.

Back in May of this year, Nestle confirmed to Edinburgh Live about the new launch: "Yes it is true – we are launching the Purple One Sharing Bar and the Orange Crunch Sharing Bar (both RRP £1) – they will be in stores nationwide around the beginning of September.

"Designed for smaller sharing occasions, The Purple One bar is a layer of caramel on top of a milk chocolate base filled with hazelnuts. The Orange Crunch bar consists of a milk chocolate shell containing an orange flavour filling and crunchy orange flavoured pieces."

They will be available nationwide next month. (Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.)

Taking to the comments it seems people were keen for the new bars. And even they want more flavours too.

In response to the original post one said: "I wish chocolate companies would stop bringing out new stuff cos now I'm going to have to try them."

Anther wrote: "Ooo these are elite. Need them all."

"They need to do strawberry and orange cream ones" suggested a third.
