Shoppers have heaped praise on an “amazing” face and body wash they bought online.
Beauty Pie, a site which offers ‘luxury beauty without luxury prices’, recently launched a new face and body wash, AcidEnzyme. The product is aimed at those with blemish-prone or bumpy skin and helps to prevent blackheads and blemishes.
It is made with 2% Salicylic Acid and 3% C-X-Papaya Enzyme Complex, for a “perfectly-balanced, lightly-foaming intensive skin-clearing cleanser”. AcidEnzyme is suitable for acne and blemish prone skin, oily skin, congested skin, and areas prone to Keratosis Pilaris.

The product is to be used once or twice a week, using one to two pumps of gel onto damp skin, using circular motions over skin. For more exfoliation on problem areas or rough and bumpy skin, massage in and leave on even longer
According to reviews, some shoppers have said they have seen results from the first use. On the Beauty Pie site, one person said: “Wow, it really works to clear up your skin! Wow, this really works. I’m prone to backne and I’ve had a couple of persistent spot patches for many years.
“I’ve used many other cleansers trying to clear them and this is the only one that’s worked! Fabulous!” A second wrote: “Amazing skin! I absolutely adore this stuff. Leave on in the shower before massaging into skin to get incredibly smooth skin.
“I also like it to exfoliate legs before using the self tanning drops. Highly recommend.” A third added: “IT WORKS! HELLO CLEAR SKIN! I’ve been struggling with hormonal acne since coming off the pill 8 months ago all over on my face, back and chest.
“I have used this a few times so far but WOW. I have seen an improvement already I actually cannot believe it! It’s gentle and works I am hooked!”
Another shopper said: “Wow! From the first time I used this product I noticed a big difference in the texture of my skin and the breakouts on my chest and back. I'm so impressed. This is my first buy as a Beauty Pie member and I can't wait to try more products!”
A number of shoppers also claimed the product wasn’t the ‘miracle’ they’d hoped for, adding that the scent of the face and body wash wasn’t very appealing and that it didn’t exfoliate as well as they’d wanted.
AcidEnzyme Exfoliating Face and Body Cleanser is priced at £28.50 for Beauty Pie members. For non-members, the product costs £60. You can sign up for a Beauty Pie membership here.
