Shoppers across Ireland have been leaving glowing reviews for a Sanctuary product that ‘actually works’ in easing back and neck pain.
Hundreds of people have been hailing the warming body balm on sale at many online beauty retailers as well as in pharmacies and Boots stores nationwide.
The non-medicinal balm is known for its heating effect - similar to that of Deep Heat - and the Sanctuary website seems to be filled with very happy customers.

The beauty and wellness brand says its warming balm is "formulated with 85% ingredients of natural origin, is cruelty-free, mineral oil-free, and vegan friendly".
It is "blended with soothing notes of violet, jasmine & sandalwood” with a patented Wellness scent that is scientifically proven to "help de-stress and fall sleep faster and for longer".
It’s described as a "gel-like balm" that can be used to treat "tense and aching muscles".
It puts its 'magic' down to the warming ginger it contains and circulation-boosting rosemary oil to "help ease the day away and unwind to help you get a good night’s sleep".
The reviews indicate that it actually works and one woman even described it as ‘the best product ever’.
She wrote: “I bought this product a few days ago and I must say THE BEST PRODUCT EVER. I had to go back to the shop and buy some more, I also bought the sleep mist as well, What a great combination, I Have fallen in love with these products.
“I suffer from fibromyalgia and these two have helped me a lot. I hope the De-Stress Warming balm will not be discontinued after the negative reviews I read from People who don’t Read the instructions”.
Another said: “Smells beautiful but the warming is not a lie! The heat is real! READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND HAVE A TEST RUN!!! WOW! I had to wash it off pretty quick but it certainly does what it says on the tin!”
A third added: “This actually works and has helped me with my neck and back pain over the past few weeks. Great alternative if you don’t like taking pain medicine”.
The general consensus is that people need to test the product before applying it to a large area, and the instructions advise: “On first application apply product to a small area of skin to check for sensitivity.
“Always apply product sparingly and build to desired heating effect. Massage the product on to tense areas e.g. neck, shoulders and legs before going to bed”.
Its popularity has resulted in it being sold out on Boots' Irish website, however, it is still available on other online retailers such as Look Fantastic, Cloud 10 Beauty, and Millies.
