Shoppers go crazy for £30 heater recommended by Martin Lewis that costs pennies to run

Shoppers have gone crazy for a £30 heater that is said to drastically slash energy bills.The Beldray 1.2kW Halogen Heaterhas racked up thousands of glowing five-star reviews online from Wilko and Argos. Those have got their hands on it already claim keeps them warm and costs only 7p an hour to run - a considerable difference from putting the central heating on.

As reported by Manchester Evening News, news of the heater follows Martin Lewis' recommendation that they are a cheap way to warm your home and slash energy bills. Lewis' MoneySavingExpert (MSE) team went on to explain: "Halogen heaters are directional. Once on, you instantly feel the heat. As soon as you turn them off, the heat quickly dissipates."

While Martin Lewis nor MSE have suggested any specific brands to buy, the Beldray 1.2kW Halogen Heater is a firm favourite with shoppers looking for a budget buy that works effectively. Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, a savvy shopper shared the Wilko heater and wrote: "Wilko online £30! You can replace the halogen tubes too. Cheapest I’ve seen it and saves a fair few quid on the electric!

Shoppers rushed to praise the £30 Wilko heater. One person penned: "7p an hour for 400w 14 for 800 - it's perfect to keep the chill off whilst working from home!" Echoing their comments, someone else said: "I have this. It’s very good for hearing one room and I think it’s like 18p an hour. Martin Lewis was advising people on it being the cheaper option. Worth every penny."

On the Wilko website, the £30 heater has also received glowing reviews. One person wrote: "My wife required a little extra heating whilst watching TV - so, a few weeks ago, I ordered a Beldray heater online and collected it the next next morning. It could not have been more simple and straight forward - thankfully, my wife is delighted with it. Moreover, it avoids having to use the more-expensive gas fire - it directs the warmth straight onto her."

The Beldray 1.2kW Halogen Heater is currently out of stock on the Wilko website, but if you don't mind splashing out an extra £10 for it on the Argos website, you can buy it for £40 here.
