Shoppers have joined forces to praise a new product at frozen food specialist Iceland. Many have been delighted to see what was a popular favourite youngsters growing up in the 90s.
After a customer noticed that the supermarket was stocking Jurassic World Bernard Matthews Turkey Dinosaurs many took to Facebook to celebrate the move. The frozen food offering has been released at the same time as Jurassic World: Dominion is heading to our cinemas, reports Glasgow Live.
However while there were plenty cheering at the news - others were quick to point out there was little very new about the product apart from the packaging. For many stores, including Iceland, have been selling versions of turkey dinosaurs for years.
Many youngsters loved the processed food as children and there were plenty of fond memories of eating frozen chicken dinosaur nuggets in the past. And it wasn't just children who loved them back in the 90s with adults often quick to clear leftovers from their plates.
The shopper who spotted the £2 packs of nine dinosaurs was quick to share the news with fellow bargain hunters. Posting on Facebook, they wrote: "New Jurassic World Turkey Dinosaurs at Iceland Foods".
Since being shared, the post has received over 500 likes and more than 1,000 comments. Iceland fans were quick to share their thoughts on the frozen dinosaurs.
Kathryn Shuttleworth joked: " I feel like we need to do one or those nights with snacks foods and have these." Hannah Killelay added: "Get these with the minion potato smiley faces and Spencer has his dream meal!"
Tyler Fanytom added: "OMG, can we please organise a day I come over for tea and we just have turkey dinosaurs, smiley faces and beans?" Craig Griffiths added: "Me need some" while
But others failed to join in the excitement. Claire Louise Gray pointed out: "They are just the original dinosaurs with a new packaging, Aldi sell them too"
And there was even disappointment for some. NatalieJade Godden pointed out: "I brought these thinking they was different to normal ones, but nope, completely the same. Such a let down."
