If your household is one of the many that has added an air fryer to the kitchen in a bid to cut down on energy bills, you may want to try out this snack that costs less than 40p to make.
One savvy air fryer owner shared her method of rustling up a tasty-looking batch of potatoes on Facebook, where several others chimed in to say they had had some mouth-watering results from trying out the same simple recipe. And while potatoes can already be picked up at the supermarket for a reasonable price, the shopper managed to find some spuds that were even cheaper.
She shared that she used a tin of Peeled Potatoes in Water from Aldi 's Everyday Essentials range, which set her back just 38p. While the shopper admitted that she would never have thought the unassuming tins could be turned into a delicious snack, she was left surprised by the results after popping them in the air fryer.

Sharing a photo of the spuds in an air fryer Facebook group, she wrote: "So tried the 38p potatoes from Aldi, not something I would ever buy, but OMG! I used a cap of olive oil, cayenne pepper, paprika and garlic powder. 18 mins on 200. Absolutely beautiful."
The savvy shopper added to the Manchester Evening News : "Honestly I’d never buy them, but they were gorgeous." And dozens of other air fryer owners were quick to comment that they had discovered the same cheap hack.
"Yes I have done this as well a few times, lovely," one person wrote. Another added: "These are a dirty little secret."
Meanwhile, several others who had yet to try potatoes in their air fryer vowed to give it a go. "I'm definitely going to try this, they look delicious," one shopper said.
