A shopper who looked back through his online shopping history over the last six moths has spotted the one item that has risen in cost more than any other. A quick look back showed that a 350g packet of cheddar cheese from Asda in the early part of 2022 was £2.50.
That price increased to £2.75 by March and by June Asda were charging £3.80 for exactly the same product. That's almost a 50% price increase. But that's not even the end of it.
