Shop 'banned' from TikTok after angering KSI by selling Prime drink for £100 a can

A shop has been banned from TikTok after reportedly selling cans of Prime Energy drink for £100 each. It comes after the UK launch of a bottled product, Prime Hydration, sparked a frenzy in supermarkets where it typically retails for £1.99 a bottle.

However, a video recently appeared that purported to show a woman buying a pack of 12 Prime Energy drinks for £1,200 from Wakey Wines in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. In response, YouTuber KSI - who is behind Prime alongside fellow influencer Logan Paul - posted a TikTok video pleading with people to "stop buying it at these prices", the Manchester Evening News reports.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Wakey Wines' owner Mohammad Azar Nazir said: "There is a well known influencer trying to tarnish my business.

"I have now been banned off TikTok at 500k I've been working so hard for this. All of my videos are all for fun, I saw a business idea with WFD sweets just like any other business man and I took the opportunity.

"Some jealous horrible people. Please report these posts and help me! Thank you to my fans always, Wakey Wines."

Mr Nazir previously posted a video claiming his shop was the only one in England that was selling cans of Prime Energy. He has since posted a video indicating Wakey Wines' TikTok page has been reinstated, writing: "Massive thank you to all who supported us and helped get our account back."
