The teenage sensation Nancy, the junior world team champion, showcased her exceptional skills by scoring a remarkable 252.8 in the final round of eight, securing the top position.

Unfortunately, her compatriot Elavenil narrowly missed the gold, finishing with an aggregate score of 252.7, just a fraction of a point behind.

India miss clean sweep in women's 10m air rifle final

India came close to achieving a clean sweep in the women's 10m air rifle final, but the chance slipped away as Mehuli Ghosh secured the fourth position with a total of 210 points. China's Shen Yufan claimed a spot ahead of her, preventing the Indian team from sweeping the podium.

Rudrankksh wins bronze in 10m air rifle

Rudrankksh Patil, India's world champion marksman, secured a bronze medal in the men's 10m air rifle shooting event with a final score of 228.7. The gold was claimed by Ma Sihan of China with an impressive score of 251.4, while Daehan Choe from Korea took home the silver medal.

Another Indian to make the final, Arjun Babuta, finished sixth.

In the qualification round, Rudrankksh Patil earned a spot in the eight-shooter final by securing the third position with a score of 630.4. His compatriot, Babuta, entered the medal round in fourth place with a score of 629.6.

Nancy displayed remarkable consistency throughout the final, maintaining a high standard with no scores below par. On the other hand, Elavenil faced a stroke of bad luck when she scored a 9.7 in her 10th shot during the final, a moment that ultimately determined her fate in the competition.

The 24-year-old Elavenil claimed the top spot in the qualification round with an impressive score of 633.8. Nancy followed closely with an aggregate of 632.4, and Mehuli secured a score of 631.0, showcasing a strong performance by the Indian shooters.
