A hotel for the homeless has been branded "inhabitable" after shocking images from inside a room showed blood-splattered walls, broken plug sockets and a discarded syringe.
Pictures shared with the Daily Record were taken by a resident at the council-funded Rennie Mackintosh Hotel on Union Street, Glasgow. Blood appears spattered across walls inside one bedroom, while a discarded needle is pictured lying on a radiator.
Other images show plug sockets pulled away from the walls. The hotel, which receives cash from Glasgow City Council to provide temporary accommodation for the homeless, has previously been infested with mice.
