ChronicleLive readers have voted to drop Fabian Schar for the clash against Manchester City. Newcastle United welcome the Premier League champions to St James’ Park looking to exert revenge for their two battering received last season.
Supporters placed themselves in Eddie Howe’s shoes to choose their starting line-up against the Citizens. Despite two flawless performances against Nottingham Forest and Brighton, fans have brutally decided to leave Schar on the bench.
The Toon boss faces a dilemma should Matt Targett be declared fit to play on Sunday. A late fitness test will decide whether the 26-year-old starts, with Dan Burn deputising at left-back last weekend.

Burn and Targett will be competing with Schar and Sven Botman for a place in the backline. Howe could revert to a back three but supporters opted to tinker with personnel rather than the system.
Schar is the odd one out with readers as Botman and Burn were given the nod. Breaking the deadlock against Forest with a spectacular 30-yard strike a fortnight ago - and keeping two clean sheets - could justify a place in the XI.
In midfield and attack, fans want the same setup that started the previous two games. Joe Willock, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton are tipped to start in the engine room while Miguel Almiron, Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson lead the line.
