VISAKHAPATNAM: It's been a hectic week for England's Shoaib Bashir, who is set for his Test debut in the second match against India beginning Friday. The 20-year-old off-spinner from Somerset had to go back home from the UAE, where England had their training camp before the tour of India.
A British Muslim of Pakistani heritage, Bashir was the only member of the England team to face visa issues. While the team arrived in Hyderabad for the first Test, Bashir had to return to London before he was cleared to travel. He arrived in time to see England go 1-0 in the series last Sunday.
