Raut was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in August under the PMLA for his alleged role in financial irregularities related to the redevelopment of Patra 'Chawl' (old row tenements) in suburban Goregaon.
The Shiv Sena leader, now in Arthur Road Jail, contended that he is no more required for interrogation and so should be released on bail. He has denied any wrongdoing.
However, the prosecution contended that Raut does not deserve bail. (UNI)
