Shia LaBeouf filmed 'squaring up' with locals in Edinburgh

Bizarre footage appears to show Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf squaring up to locals in Scotland‘s capital.

The Transformers actor was filmed raising his fists and throwing his hat to the ground in a late-night stand-off with a group in the centre of Edinburgh.

Two men appear to be held back and separated from the animated actor, who is filmed shouting and gesticulating wildly.

The 38-year-old American appears to walk away from the squabble before returning to the group and shouting again.

The actor, who has also starred in films Disturbia and The Peanut Butter Falcon, has been spotted by locals across Edinburgh this week as his wife Mia Goth is filming for the upcoming Frankenstein film in Scotland, EdinburghLive reports.

He was seen sporting a full beard and a large navy raincoat in several pubs and in Cowgate in the city centre.

Earlier this year Welsh residents were left stunned after bumping into the American actor in Barry in South Wales.

The actor has made headlines for a number of strange incidents.

In 2014, LaBeouf was arrested outside New York City’s Studio 54 Broadway theatre for drunkenly disrupting a performance of Cabaret. He admitted disorderly conduct.

He was arrested again in 2017 for disorderly conduct, this time in Georgia. LaBeouf later issued a public apology, writing on X, formerly Twitter: “I am deeply ashamed of my behaviour and make no excuses for it.”

LaBeouf first found fame as a teenager in the Disney Channel show Even Stevens. His other film roles include Holes, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and Lawless.

A representative for LaBeouf has been contacted for comment.
