Shetland teens thrilled as Harry Styles flies their flag on Murrayfield stage

HARRY Styles flew Shetland's flag at an Edinburgh concert after an adoring fan threw it on stage.

The One Direction star held it aloft to a packed Murrayfield Stadium on Friday after receiving it from 18-year-old Tahlia Leslie.

She attended the gig with her mum Tracey and friends Lois Phillips and Estella Smith, who began queing at 9am to try and get as close to Styles as they could.

Leslie told the Shetland News: “While we were [waiting] we wrote Shetland in the flag as we thought Harry would just think it was a Scotland flag.”

When the gig began, Leslie said “there was only one person in front of us”.

She threw the flag on stage as Styles sang Satellite from his latest album.

@taleslie11 if anyone has any photos or videos please contact us pls!!!! PS THIS IS NOT A SCOTLAND FLAG LOL 💙🤍💙🤍 we never got it back lol does anyone have it by any chance xoxox #harrystyles #hslot #edinburgh #hslotedinburgh #fypシ #shetland #scotland ♬ Satellite - Harry Styles

“I waited till he stopped singing and dancing because I thought I’d have a better chance of him actually catching it,” Leslie said.

“We were all so excited when he got it and we [were] screaming so loud.

“None of us got the best video because we were too excited.”

Due to the group’s lack of videos, Leslie made a post on TikTok calling for others at the concert to share their own.

Her video now has over 300,000 views.
