Sheridan Smith is swiping for love once again - and has upped her game from Tinder to celebrity filled app Raya.
According to reports, the 41-year-old Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps star has decided to have another roll of the online dating dice.
In the past, Sheridan met former fiancé Jamie Horn on Tinder back in 2018 and together they share a son named Billy who was born in May 2020.
Sheridan and Jamie split in 2021, and she then moved on to date actor Alex Lawler - but the romance fizzled after a few months.
Now Sheridan is hoping to find romance after downloading and subscribing to Raya - an exclusive dating app that has an extensive vetting process and has plenty of fellow stars on the books.
And she is said to be hoping to find love while preparing to take to London’s West End in a new production of the 1986 comedy Shirley Valentine, according to The Sun on Sunday.
A source told the publication: “Sheridan is going to be busy in rehearsals for her new stage show, so she hasn’t got time to be going out and trying to meet guys, swiping on an app and having quiet, intimate chats is much more suited to her lifestyle.
"She’s taking a leaf out of Shirley’s book though, and looking at new adventures in 2023.”
Sheridan and Alex had been friends when they were in their early 20s and took their friendship to the next level after reconnecting in 2021 - but they split before the end of that year.
A source explained in January last year: "Sheridan was delighted when she rekindled her old flame with Alex and it was a wonderful reunion for them both.
"But after a while it was clear that they would be better off as friends. She is single now and focusing on herself and her son."
While her relationship with ex-fiancé Jamie ended in July 2021 after three years of being together.
Announcing their split in a statement at the time, the pair said: “It is with great sadness that we have decided to have some time apart.
“We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy Billy together. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”
Insurance broker Jamie’s mum had claimed he and Sheridan were a ‘perfect couple’ when they became engaged in 2018 after three months of dating and after matching on Tinder.
She said at the time: “We’ll be thrilled to welcome her to the family and I think they’ll make a perfect couple.
“I’m just really happy for them. Both my son and Sheridan have wicked sense of humours and get on exceptionally well."
She added to the MailOnline : “She’s a lovely, warm person and very down to earth. And she looks so much prettier without all her stage make-up on.”
