Sheridan Smith fans who tuned in for ITV's No Return have been left frustrated.
The family in the story made a huge legal mistake in the drama - sparking outrage from viewers.
The brand new series sees Sheridan Smith play British mum Kathy Powell.
She is left distraught after her teenage son Noah is arrested during a family holiday in Turkey for allegedly sexually assaulting another teenager.
Things quickly get worse for the family because once the Turkish police get involved, it is revealed that the other child, Milo, is only 15, as Noah is put in jail.
As reported in The Mirror, his loved ones are desperately trying to find a solicitor to try and help them out of the mess.
But fans noticed they make a huge mistake during their legal fight.
Viewers were left frustrated as the family failed to contact the British Embassy about everything that has happened for advice and help, and instead took a solicitor recommendation from their holiday rep.
Viewers took to social media to rant about the blunder.
"I would be straight on the phone to the British embassy and I would not be taking the first lawyer the holiday rep recommends. #NoReturn," one viewer wrote as they fumed at the fictional family.
"Who needs the British Embassy? Just take the dodgy advice from your ropey lawyer wearing a s*** suit. #noreturn," a second wrote, whilst a third shared: "#noreturn wouldn’t one of the first things that they should do be call The British Embassy?"
A fourth said: "#NoReturn is causing me so much anxiety, for many reasons, not least the fact that this family have not bothered to contact the British embassy or try to get any help besides this incredibly local lawyer who they really know f*** all about. Insanity."
"Frustrated they’ve still not got the British Embassy involved. Ridiculous #NoReturn #sheridansmith," a fifth penned.
A sixth took to Twitter to voice their concerns, writing: "I am still surprised that the British Embassy still hasn’t been involved or had it? #noreturn," with a seven adding: "Why aren’t they using the British Embassy instead of some slippery narcissistic lawyer? #noreturn."
Sheridan previously explained how the "lost" family are just desperate to get help - from wherever they can.
"They end up with a Turkish lawyer called Rico, played by Philip Arditti, who is a brilliant character who drives a flash car. The family are just lost, basically, and he makes suggestions about how to deal with the police. It’s such an ordeal for them all," she said.
No Return is available to watch on the ITV Player.
