Sheridan Smith had a very special “plus one” when she stepped out for an event on Tuesday night - her four-year-old son Billy.
The actress, 43, took the youngster to the launch of the 2024 Hogwarts in the Snow feature at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter in Leavesden, which runs from November 16 until January 19.
Billy - whom Smith shares with insurance broker ex Jamie Horn - was seen enthusiastically waving his own toy magic wand around as he and his famous mum took in some of the sets of the blockbuster films decked out for the festive holidays complete with snow.
Someone who got to experience the powers of wizard-in-training Billy was retired England footballer Peter Crouch, 43, who was at the attraction with wife Abbey Clancey and their four children.
Smith issued a jokey apology to the infamously tall former Spurs striker as Billy decided to make him the subject of his spell-casting.
“Sorry @crouchy Billy decided to keep putting a spell on him, he thinks he got taller,” she penned on Instagram, alongside a slew of images and videos from the night.
“Thank you to all the lovely staff for their kindness and giving our kids a magical experience,” her caption continued.
She concluded: “One tired (but magically empowered) child asleep on me.”
Smith will next be seen appearing in the highly anticipated Gavin and Stacey Christmas special, which creators Ruth Jones and James Corden have indicated with be the final installment of the hit BBC sitcom.
In the show, Smith plays Corden’s character Smithy’s younger sister Rudi, with whom he regularly clashes.
Co-star Larry Lamb told The Standard that the “film-length” episode will provide a “funny” and “moving” end to the show, which first debuted in 2007.
Other celebrities getting in on the fun of the wizarding world included Rolling Stone icon Ronnie Wood and presenter daughter-in-law Fearne Cotton.
Plus, comedian Jack Whitehall and his fiancee Roxy Horner, along with recently married former I’m A Celebrity winner Vicky Pattinson.
