Sheffield Wednesday 'extremely confident' for play-off second leg despite Sunderland defeat

Sheffield Wednesday Sunderland Jordan Storey

Sheffield Wednesday’s Jordan Storey says his side will head into the second leg of the play-off semi-final on Monday feeling “extremely confident”.

Sunderland beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 last night in the League One play-off semi-final first leg at the Stadium of Light in front of 44,742 fans. The winning goal came from Ross Stewart.

Now the Black Cats have to visit Hillsborough on Monday night for the second leg with only a narrow lead. The winner will face either Wycombe or MK Dons at Wembley in the final.
