Beach Boys star Brian Wilson says his heart is broken as he announced the death of his “beloved” wife Melinda Ledbetter Wilson at the age of 77.

The US singer-songwriter credited his late spouse, who died peacefully at their home on Tuesday, as being the “emotional security” he needed to have a career in the music industry.
