Strictly Come Dancing fans flocked to Twitter to have their say after head judge Shirkey Ballas gave her critique on Will Mellor's performance. Fans of the BBC dance contest complained after the judge commented that the Coronation Street and Two Pints of Lager actor was 'very, very easy on the eye.'
The 62-year-old former Latin dance champion gave her verdict on the BBC dance contest after Will and his dance partner Nancy Xu performed a salsa on Saturday night to the romantic Luther Vandross classic Never Too Much. She told him: "Well first of all you're very, very easy on the eye, very adjudicator friendly."
However she added: "But there were some mistakes this evening." And Shirley, who was sporting a new bobbed curly hairstyle, advised that moving on after the "glitz and glamour", it was time for the "nitty gritty."

Moving on to fellow judge Craig Revel Horwood, he grumbled that Craig danced "too heavily into the floor." @Robpearsall1 tweeted: "Shirley off to a flying start commenting on Wills looks. Judge the dancing. It's what you're there for!"
@victoriamcf said: "I wish Shirley would stop saying Will is ‘easy on the eye’. It wouldn’t be appropriate about a female contestant and it isn’t appropriate about him She’s a judge!" And @GeorgiaEH17 said: "Shirley already commenting on the male contestants appearance?"
@neverforget0206 wrote: "A bit cringy now." And @carolineplayle said: "Wish Shirley would shut up with the 'easy on the eye.' It would be gross if a bloke was saying that about the women so shut up."
@meenajutlas asked: "Why is one of Shirley's critiques that he's attractive?" And @xhorsechestnutx commented: "'Very adjudicator friendly' lol Shirley."
Will, who shot to fame playing Jambo Bolton on Hollyoaks, tugged at the heartstrings of the nation as he then apologised to his children following some harsh critiques after he topped the leaderboard in the first show of the series last Saturday with 34 points.
"Sorry it wasn't great for you kids. I tried my best, he said. There were shouts of "no" from onlookers in the studio led by host Claudia Winkleman who reassured him he'd done a great job.
Nancy admitted she "pushed him really hard" this week before apologising to Will for "maybe pushing him too hard." He scored 26 points out of a possible 40.
