Everyone is talking about Doja Cat’s Paris Fashion Week look, and we can see why. All eyes were on the singer at the start of Schiaparelli's Couture Spring-Summer 2023 show, the opening event of the biannual Haute Couture Week in Paris.
The Haute Couture show was inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Inferno, which then in turn inspired the rapper’s look ‘Doja Inferno.’
Doja, painted head to toe in red, wore a red satin corset with a beaded skirt and knee-high boots.
Pat McGrath, the British make-up artist behind Doja’s stunning look, said it took four hours and 58 minutes to create the look. She covered the musician “in over 30,000 hand-applied Swarovski Crystals,” saying the work was inspiring.
The final product was a magical, mesmerising masterpiece of sparkling brilliance,” he said as he praised Doja’s “sublime patience.”
One fan, Linda, took to Twitter saying: “I appreciate Doja Cat being unapologetically committed to serving a look”, as another fan commented “she never misses especially when it comes to fashion week.”
Others also described her look as 'art'.
"I actually like Doja cat with the all red she’s legit using her body head 2 toe as art… love it," on person tweeted. User Kay Waon added: "Art at it's best! Doja Cat really knew how to steal the show. The best I've seen in a long time."
Many fans were quick to say Doja, 27, upstaged Kylie Jenner, 25, who donned a black gown and a sculpted lion’s head.
Fans wondered if the two icons were feuding after sharing what looked like an uncomfortable moment on the red carpet as they briefly said “good to see you” to each other, with fans noticing the vibes seemed off.
“Awkward energy between them in all the videos,” one person wrote and another said “Doja look a bit agitated with Kylie..They got beef?”
However it seems like the 'Say So' singer has created another iconic look, and continues to make headlines for her fashion choices, such as when she shocked people by shaving her head and eyebrows.
