She has $2.6 billion but still works 14 hours a day: Why the world’s youngest self-made woman billionaire can't slow down

Having billions of dollars in the bank might sound like the perfect reason to take a break from work. But for Luana Lopes Lara, the 30-year-old co-founder of prediction market platform Kalshi, becoming a billionaire has done little to change her daily routine. She still works for as long as 14 hours a day, remains focused on building her company and rarely takes time off.

Lara, who has an estimated net worth of $2.6 billion, has earned the distinction of being the world's youngest self-made female billionaire. Yet, she says her wealth has not dramatically changed the way she lives. Her attention remains firmly on the business she helped build rather than on the luxuries her fortune could buy. In an interview with Fortune, Lara explained why her billionaire status has not altered her priorities. For her, the biggest motivation has always been growing Kalshi, and that ambition continues to shape her everyday life.
