Shawn Mendes is gearing up for an exciting return to the stage and the studio. The singer recently announced via Instagram that he will be headlining Rock In Rio on September 22nd, marking his first live performance in a long time. Mendes expressed his eagerness to connect with his fans in person once again, stating that he has missed being on stage.
In addition to his upcoming performance, Mendes revealed that he has been working on a new album and is looking forward to debuting new music for his audience. Rock in Rio 2024 is set to take place from September 13 to September 22 at Parque Olímpico do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, featuring a lineup that includes artists like Katy Perry, Charlie Puth, and Travis Scott.
This performance will be Mendes' second time on stage in the past year, following a duet with Niall Horan at The Show: Live on Tour in London. Mendes had previously embarked on his Wonder: The World Tour in 2022 but had to postpone and ultimately cancel the tour to prioritize his mental health.
After seeking guidance from health professionals, Mendes made the decision to take a break and focus on his well-being. He acknowledged the challenges of touring after an extended hiatus and emphasized the importance of self-care.
