Shatrughan Sinha is heartbroken. The senior actor had called up Lata Mangeshkar's family about 10 days ago and told them that once Lata ji comes home from Breach Candy Hospital, he and his family would visit her. "Alas, aisa ho na saka," he said, talking exclusively to ETimes last night.

Sinha said that Lata ji was not just admired but literally revered. "Admired for what she did for her family. Revered for every song that she sang. She sacrificed her marriage for her family," and then quickly added, "Well, that's what we have been told."
