Sharp showcases new space-saving appliances, perfect for compact kitchens

Sharp Compact Appliances Lifestyle.

I’m currently redesigning my kitchen for a remodel, and despite having a mid-size space, I’m still struggling to fit everything in. And I know that for those of you with compact kitchens, it can be an even greater battle to decide what to include and what to leave out. Another issue is finding a compact appliance with a pleasing appearance.

Sharp has addressed this issue with its upcoming spring launch of compact kitchen appliances, which solve storage issues while delivering a pleasing aesthetic. We’re still waiting to hear news on the launch date and pricing, but we will update you once we have more information.

Big on style, small on footprint

The new products are a response to research conducted by Sharp and Apartment Therapy, which found that 66% of people living in small spaces struggle to find compact appliance options that feel well-designed, rather than “apartment grade”.

Among those surveyed, 59% were frustrated with inefficient kitchen storage. Taking these common compact kitchen problems into account, Sharp showcased 20 new products at the 2026 Kitchen & Bath Industry Event (KBIS), of which four new appliances address the functionality needs of compact kitchens.

Sharp says the idea behind the new launches is to demonstrate that technology and design in the kitchen can deliver, even in the smallest of spaces.

"At Sharp, we design products that work in step with our customers' living spaces and needs," said Grace Dolan, Senior Vice President at Sharp. "By listening closely to our customers, we understand the importance of offering both enhanced technology and stunning design for small kitchens.

Here's what's coming

So, what has Sharp delivered for the small kitchen owner? Among the new appliances to be launched this spring is the 24-inch Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator (SJG1166SNS), which offers a luxurious, built-in aesthetic. It features two French doors with 11.3 cu. ft. of capacity, with flexible shelving and a 4.6 cu. ft. two-drawer freezer.

It also features fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, bright LED lighting, a dual-purpose Fresh Converter Drawer, and quiet, efficient operation.

Combining two appliances in one is a game-changer in a compact design, and Sharp has come up with the goods. The company’s 24-inch Wall Oven (SWA2462SNS) combines a European convection oven with an air fryer. The oven is also equipped with a pizza mode, temperature probe, gliding rack and soft-close door, and has a 2.5 cu. ft. capacity.

And there's more
Sharp's expanded line of compact kitchen appliances includes two more models: the Sharp 24" Counter-Depth Refrigerator (SJB10455NS) and the Sharp 24" Range Hood (SHC2443SNS).
