
Figures showing a sharp rise in children living in bed and breakfasts for longer than six months in England and an increase in the number of people classed as living on the streets of London have been branded a “grim snapshot of the deepening housing emergency”.
The latest official Government statistics show new record highs in both households and children living in temporary accommodation – a form of homelessness.
