Sharon Stone, the renowned actress, philanthropist, and fashion icon, is set to showcase her action star prowess in Nobody 2, the upcoming sequel to the 2021 hit film produced by 87North. Stone will be starring alongside Bob Odenkirk, who reprises his role as a former government assassin disguised as a mild-mannered family man. The plot details of the sequel are being kept under wraps, but it is confirmed that Stone will portray the film's primary antagonist.

The movie will be helmed by Indonesian filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto, known for his work in horror and action genres such as May the Devil Take You and segments of the V/H/S series. The screenplay for Nobody 2 is penned by Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, Odenkirk, and Umair Aleem. The original producing team, including Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Marc Provissiero, and Braden Aftergood, is back on board for the sequel.

Universal Pictures has scheduled the theatrical release of Nobody 2 for August 15, 2025. The first installment of the franchise was made on a $16 million budget and exceeded expectations by grossing over $57.5 million worldwide, despite its release during the pandemic. Critics lauded the film, with The Hollywood Reporter describing it as 'a wish-fulfillment romp that is both ludicrous and immensely entertaining.'

Sharon Stone rose to fame with her breakout role in the erotic thriller Basic Instinct and garnered critical acclaim for her performances in films like Casino, for which she received an Oscar nomination. In recent years, Stone has focused on television projects, appearing in shows like Ratched and The New Pope.

Aside from her acting career, Stone is recognized for her extensive humanitarian efforts, earning accolades such as the United Nations Global Citizen Award, Nobel Peace Summit Award, Harvard Humanitarian Award, Human Rights Campaign Humanitarian Award, and Einstein Spirit of Achievement Award. She was also honored with a lifetime achievement award at the Taormina Film Festival.

Stone is represented by Independent Artist Group and Brecheen Feldman. Universal's executive vice president of production development, Jay Polidoro, and director of development, Tony Ducret, are overseeing the production of Nobody 2 on behalf of the studio.
