Sharon Stone has paid an emotional tribute to her brother Patrick Joseph Stone as she confirmed he died following a heart attack.
The singer-songwriter died at the age of 57, just two years after the death of his 11-month-old son, River, from organ failure.
In a tearful video shared on Instagram, the Basic Instinct actress said: "Hello everybody, this message is to confirm that, yes, we did lose my brother, Patrick Joseph Stone, to a heart attack yesterday.
"Yes, he is the man who was the father to River who we lost last year at 11 months old. He is survived by his wife Tasha and his son Hunter and his daughter Cailee."
Sharon, 64, then thanked fans for their support as she opened up about her "immeasurable grief".
"Like any family, we thank you for your love and support in this time of immeasurable grief and we appreciate all of your condolences.
"Yes we've had a tremendous amount of loss in these last couple of years, so many of you also have," she said.
The Oscar-nominated actress finished her video saying: "I thank you very much for the love and support that you're showing us and we just ask you to continue to be kind. Thank you."
In another post, Sharon shared some pictures of her brother, captioning the post: "RIP my brother Patrick Joseph Stone."
Tributes have been pouring in for Patrick, with John Travolta commenting: "Dearest Sharon, I’m so sorry for your loss. I do understand very well what you’re going through. With love -JT."
Jeremy Renner, who is currently recovering after being crushed by a snow plough, left a row of red heart emojis and wrote: "Bless you."
Kate Beckinsale also left a series of heart emojis and commented: "Lots of love xx."
The View host Ana Navarro said: "My heart breaks for u. I lost my brother to a heart attack 22 years ago, and miss him every day."
Patrick's heartbroken wife Tasha announced the devastating news in a gut-wrenching statement shared with family friends.
"My heart feels like it’s been ripped out of my chest. Patrick went to be with our sweet River... I don’t know what else to say, he was my world," she said, according to TMZ.
"I’m not sure what life is supposed to look like without my husband by my side and quite honestly I don’t want to, but I will of course.
"I just hope that you always stay by my side watching over Hunter, Kaylee and I."
