Sharon Osbourne breaks down in tears on TalkTV as she steps down from hosting show

Sharon Osbourne broke down in tears on TalkTV as she stepped down from hosting her new chat show on the channel.

The flame-haired beauty was sobbing on camera when she revealed that she was stepping down from hosting in order to fly home to LA to be with her hubby.

Her husband Ozzy Osbourne has been diagnosed with coronavirus, which has left Sharon feeling "very worried".

The 73-year-old rocker has contracted the virus, which adds to his various health issues he has been battling in recent years.

Because Sharon is rushing back to Los Angeles, she will not be able to present her new hour-long debate show The Talk, which airs Monday to Friday at 9pm on the newly launched channel TalkTV.

Getting emotional this afternoon during an interview aired on TV, Sharon spoke about her hubby's shock diagnosis.

She said: "Ozzy was only diagnosed in the middle of the night our time.

"I spoke to him and he's OK. I am very worried about Ozzy right now.

"We've gone two years without him catching Covid and it's just Ozzy's luck it would be now."

Sharon then explained how when she gets home to her hubby she will "hold him and kiss him," adding that she will do so with "about three face masks on".

"My family is my life," explained the star, adding: "I can't believe my luck. I'm missing the show and I've only been there three days.

"I can't believe it. Three days and I'm missing the show but I will be back. I know I will.

"It will take me a week to get my old man back on his feet again and I will be back.

"Unfortunately, he was diagnosed in the middle of the night when the family was sleeping so I haven't spoken to them yet. But they'll rally round. They'll be with him.

"You're going to see me back on air in a week.

"I know my husband. We're going to get him back on his feet and we're going to get a negative test by next week."

This comes three days after Sharon's show The Talk, which she hosts alongside Jeremy Kyle, first debuted on TalkTV.

It seems that the show has had a lukewarm reception, with just 20,000 viewers actually tuning in to watch Tuesday’s episode.

The Talk airs on TalkTV, 9pm Monday - Friday (Sky 526, Virgin Media 627, Freeview 237, and Freesat 217) and live and on demand on the TalkTV app and at Talk.TV
