Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival Returns in New Edition

The Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival has returned in its 13th edition at the Expo Centre Sharjah from May 11 to 22, under the theme ‘Create Creativity’.

Organized by the Sharjah Book Authority, the festival offers children and youth many opportunities, such as updating their home library with the newest stories, novels, and comic books and selecting their favorites from the publications of 139 publishing houses partaking from 12 Arab and other countries to promote their latest works including comic books, educational tools, and children’s books that fit all categories.

Parents are encouraged to take their children to take part in the festival because it allows the little ones to attend workshops that develop their talents and enhance their creativity, in addition to offering them the chance to partake in musical, entertainment, theatrical activities, and in contests that help discovering their talents.

The festival organizes a large number of workshops with topics that mix education and entertainment, aimed at entertaining the children and help them develop their skills and explore the basics of science and creativity tools with the help of experts and professional coaches.

The 13th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival includes a colorful panorama gathering drawings of 296 painters from 48 Arab and other countries, in addition to 23 workshops that teach children the basics of drawing and enable them to meet professional artists willing to share their expertise and secrets.
