Share of electricity in India's overall energy mix to reach 45-50 pc by 2047: Official

New Delhi: India will double the share of electricity in its total energy mix to 45-50 per cent by 2047 from 22 per cent at present, Central Electricity Authority Chairperson Ghanshyam Prasad said on Wednesday.

Energy mix refers to combined energy sources, including fossil fuel, nuclear and renewables.
