On Tuesday, the Memphis Grizzlies pushed past the short-handed Los Angeles Lakers, 121-109, who were without the injured LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell.
But something of note happened off the court at FedEx Forum in Memphis.
Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks showed up in an interesting outfit that was reminiscent of the outfits former pro wrestler “Stone Cold” Steve Austin once wore.
During the “NBA on TNT” pregame show, a video of Brooks in that outfit was shown, and Shaquille O’Neal was so stunned that he said if the Lakers end up missing the playoffs, he will show up on the set wearing that same outfit.
.@SHAQ: “If the Lakers don’t make the playoffs, I’ll wear that on the last show.” 🤣

Brooks has been accused of being a dirty player, especially after a couple of flagrant two fouls he has committed against the Golden State Warriors’ Gary Payton II and Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell, so perhaps dressing like a wrestling antagonist such as Austin is fitting for him.
