Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless reacted to the Russell Wilson trade on Wednesday’s episode of “Undisputed” on Fox Sports.
The Denver Broncos have agreed to trade three players and six draft picks to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for Wilson. That’s a steep price, but Sharpe believes the Broncos made the right decision.
“I was looking for one of those [Les] Snead shirts: ‘F them picks! F them picks!’ Forget them picks, Skip!” Sharpe said. “I love this trade for the Broncos, the Broncos won this trade …. We’re major players now.”
Sharpe, of course, was referring to the Los Angeles Rams’ general manager who went all in on a Super Bowl run last season, trading all of L.A.’s high draft picks for star players. Snead even more a t-shirt that said “[expletive] them picks” at the Rams’ Super Bowl parade last month.
In an unusual twist for the debate show, Bayless completely agreed with Sharpe.
“Your Denver Broncos just pulled off the steal of the century,” Bayless said. “This is flat-out highway robbery of Russell Wilson. I still can’t believe it …. they [the Broncos] are way back in business.”
Wilson has already arrived in Denver and passed his physical, but the trade won’t become official until the new league year begins next week.
