Shane MacGowan’s wife Victoria Mary Clarke has asked for prayers after The Pogues singer was rushed to hospital.
She took to social media to make the request as she was flooded with positive comments asking after Shane.
She shared that she hopes he will be out of the hospital soon as she thanked her followers.

The Fairytale Of New York singer has suffered from health issues over the past few years after he fell and broke his pelvis in 2016. He went on to break his knee and tear ligaments and has been using a wheelchair since his injuries.
Victoria spoke about his admission to hospital on Twitter, where she asked for positivity to help him recover.
She wrote: “Please send prayers and healing vibes to @ShaneMacGowan in hospital again and really hoping to get out asap!! Thank you”.
Many of her followers took to the comments to share that their thoughts were with the couple.
One person said: “Not at Christmas, the man is the sound of Christmas and the line "you're the measure of my dreams" are the words I dream a man will finally think of me one day. He sings to my soul, I hope he recovers swiftly and not too much discomfort”.
A second commenter shared: “Wishing Shane a speedy recovery & that he is back home again with you soon. Take care of yourself also Victoria, as it must be very worrying for you too.”
A third person wrote: “Sending lots of healing prayers and energy Shane’s way! Hope he gets better very quickly and out of the hospital right away!”
A fourth follower said: “Dear Victoria I wish Shane a speedy recovery from the bottom of my heart. and i pray that everything will be fine again. lot of strength for you. a big hug for you Victoria. all the best from Switzerland.”
