Shane Lowry has proven that he has the acting chops to go with his golf skills by starring and an American Psycho inspired advert for the DP World Tour.
The clip, which is entitled 'golf psycho' pays homage to the famous personalised business card scene in the Christian Bale led film. In the movie, Bale, who plays Patrick Bateman, becomes more and more annoyed when he sees that his coworkers have more impressive business cards.
In the DP World Tour ad, fiery Englishman Tyrell Hatton takes on the role of Bateman. But instead of business cards, it's personalised ball markings that infuriates Hatton.

Lowry makes an appearance as the first person to claim they've a better marking than Hatton. Of course, Lowry's ball is adorned with a shamrock and three shades of green, 'because I'm Irish.'
It's a very funny clip and one that involves some of the biggest names on the DP World Tour such as Robert MacIntyre and Tommy Fleetwood along with Lowry and Hatton.
Hatton's casting as the Bateman type character is probably apt given the English star's temper tantrums and club throwing antics in the past. Thankfully however, that's where the similarities with Bateman and Hatton end.
Judging by his performance, Lowry may well have a career on the big screen once his golfing career is done.
For now though, his mind will be firmly focused on the day job and kicking off his 2023 with a win in Abu Dhabi. After three rounds of play, the Offaly man is in a share for top spot on the leaderboard at the HSBC Championship on 13-under par.
