Shane Lowry surged up the leaderboard at the RBC Heritage on Saturday after carding 65 to sit just one shot off the pace ahead of the final round.
The Offaly man mixed eight birdies with bogeys on the par-four third and sixth holes, while Harold Varner III went bogey-free with the day’s best score of 63 to be 11 under at Hilton Head Island.
Speaking after his round, he said: "Without complaining too much, 65 is the worst score I could have shot. I hit the ball unbelievable today, and I didn't really hole anything. That putt on the last is probably as long as I've holed all day.
