Shamrock Rovers have been crowned league champions after Derry City drew with Sligo on Monday night.
The draw means that Shamrock Rovers has captured their third title on the trot.
It has been an adventurous season for the Hoops and with Derry hot on their heels for the entire season.
Derry took on Sligo in Sligo but failed to find the net and secure all three points, handing the title to their rivals.
The draw means that the most points Derry can finish on is 72, with Shamrock Rovers already securing 73 points.
The Candystripes found themselves in fine form coming into the clash, winning six of their previous seven games.
But a slip up against Shelbourne followed by today meant that Stephen Bradley's side will take home the title once again.
