With the Irish rental market crazier than ever and many renters struggling to find a place to live, one shameless landlord has taken it to new extremes.
The landlord claimed to have an apartment for rent in 'Dublin 8' - but it was actually much further away than that.
The advertisement posted on Daft.ie showed an en-suite single room going for €700 a month in the strange address of 'Athlone, Dublin 8'.
Dublin 8 is a prime location in the capital city, home to Hueston Station and the Phoenix Park, while Athlone is 120km west in Co Westmeath.
The description states that the apartment "is NOT in Dublin" but that it is only a 1.5-hour commute from Athlone train station.

It reads: "It is NOT in Dublin but easily commutable from Dublin. Walking distance(200m) from Athlone train station. Train takes 1.5 hrs from Athlone to Dublin Heuston."
A screenshot of the advert was shared on social media, sparking a huge reaction with many people taking to the comments to vent their fury.
One person wrote: "Advertised as Dublin 8 coz that’s where your train pulls in... the absolute GALL of this"
Another asked: "Since when is 1.5hours 'commutable'?"
Meanwhile someone saw the funny side, joking: "Don’t tell Ryanair they will be flying into Athlone and calling it Dublin now."
This comes after a recent report showed that the average monthly rent in Dublin is just under €2,000.
Data from the Residential Tenancies Board and the ESRI shows that in the final quarter of 2021, rents for new tenancies in Dublin were €1,972 per month, compared to €1,104 per month outside Dublin.
The highest average rent in new tenancies was in Dublin while the lowest monthly rents were in Leitrim, where the average rent in new tenancies stood at €740 per month.
The average annual cost to people renting in Dublin would be almost €24,000.
