Shameless' Chatsworth estate is unrecognisable after drastic construction changes.
The Channel 4 series went down a storm with viewers for its gritty dramatisation of council estate lives, sprinkled with comedy and chaos. The show first aired back in 2003 with and included the likes of David Threlfall, Tina Malone and even Hollywood superstar, James Macavoy for a brief stint.
The drama all went down in the Chatsworth estate that welcomed its fair share of kick-offs, crime and confrontations, located in Stretford, Greater Manchester. Prime locations where The Jockey, the only place characters had an interest in drinking, and the Gallagher household.

The streets Channel 4 originally filmed in are a far cry from their original state, so much, in fact, they're completely gone.
A pivotal location on the show and backdrop for the opening sequence, several of the instantly recognisable homes have been removed entirely.
The houses aren't the only thing to receive an overhaul from the council as The Jockey could also be missed by someone walking through, not knowing exactly where they are.
The pub saw numerous decorations and brawls over the years but its current look eclipses its former self. Now a residential area of freshly paved driveways and red brick homes, The Jockey is nowhere to be found.
