Sham, secrecy claims as $5b power cable deadline nears

Approvals for one of the nation's biggest energy projects have been caught up in a political stoush featuring claims of sham consultation and secrecy.

Tasmania's Liberal government, in caretaker mode with counting ongoing after the July 19 election, has announced it intends to back the $5 billion Marinus Link undersea power cable.
