Shakira wows in sexy leather chaps as she alludes to Gerard Piqué split in racy performance

Shakira has alluded to her split from ex Gerard Pique as she performed her breakup hit on The Tonight Show.

The pop star appeared on the talk show to perform TQG for the first time.

The 46-year-old took to the stage to sing the smash hit which has multiple references to her ex.

They called time on their relationship in June after 11 years together.

Looking as stunning as ever, Shakira wore a pair of leather chaps while showing off her figure in a black mesh bodysuit.

The bodysuit left little to the imagination as it featured under-boob cut outs.

She went for her full glam makeup and styled her iconic caramel hair in loose curls.

She appeared on the show with Bizarrap, chatting to host Jimmy Fallon on their joint song as well as talking about her recent split.

Talking on the show, Shakira explained that the song has been "a healthy way to channel my emotions", while adding that she had to "put up with so much cr*p".

The new hit has been called a "diss" track to Shakira's ex Gerard, who she shares two children with and split from after he was allegedly unfaithful during the relationship.

Talking about the breakup for the first time on TV, she shared: "It's been unbelievable to feel the reaction from so many people. I think that people really connect with music when it's real and it's genuine, it comes from a real place. The thing with this song is that it has become like an anthem for so many women out there.

"I've had a very rough year after my separation and writing this song has been so important to me. It's been a healthy way to channel my emotions.

She concluded: "I feel that after we put out this song, I not only felt like I had fans but a sisterhood of women who have been through the same things, who think the way I think, feel the way I feel and had to put up with so much cr**, the way I had to."

With lyrics of the song seeming to reference Gerard, they are thought to also reference his new 23-year-old girlfriend.

"I'm worth two 22's. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio," Shakira sings.
