Superstar singer Shakira is reportedly 'very upset' with Barcelona legend Gerard Pique after he did not visit her ill father in hospital.
The duo had been together for 11 years before announcing the end of their relationship in June. They have had two children together and at one point were seen as one of the most powerful celebrity couples in the world.
But their relationship appears to have hit a new low after Shakira's father was admitted to hospital as he battles health problems. The Colombian singer was left shocked when Pique failed to visit her unwell dad or even check up on his condition.
That is the claim of Adriana Dorronsoro, via The Sun, with the reporter revealing that Shakira has been left 'very upset' by her former partner. She is said to have made it very clear that Pique is yet to check in on her father.
"Shakira is very upset that Pique didn't go to see him and that he hasn't enquired about his health. She wanted to make it very clear that Pique has not been to visit her father nor has he asked about his health," Dorronsoro told El programa de Ana Rosa.
Shakira recently broke her silence on the end of her relationship with the Barcelona star. And the Colombian insisted that she had sacrificed her career to ensure he enjoyed success with the La Liga giants.

"Oh, this is really hard to talk about personally, especially as this is the first time I’ve ever addressed this situation in an interview. I’ve remained quiet and just tried to process it all. It’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it," she told Elle.
"I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation. And so it’s been tough not only for me, but also for my kids. Incredibly difficult. One of the two had to make that effort and that sacrifice. And I did it.
"I put my career in second gear and I came to Spain, to support him so he could play football and win titles. And it was a sacrifice of love. Thanks to that, my kids were able to have a present mom, and I have this amazing bond with them that is unbreakable and that sustains us. You know, that is it. That’s all I can say."
Pique has struggled this season, with the defender's influence at the Nou Camp waning. He made a dreadful mistake in a Champions League draw with Inter Milan, which led to Barca boss Xavi making his unhappiness clear.
"It was too many mistakes. Their first goal was a clear mistake by our defence, we let them have too many chances. Football is a game of mistakes and we can't afford those in situations like this." he said.
"This is the Champions League and you pay a high price for each error you make. You need to win, to defend well, to score. We needed to play the entire game like we did in the first half."
