Shakira tells ex Gerard Pique ‘you’re no longer welcome’ in new song

Shakira has told her ex Gerard Pique "you’re no longer welcome" in her brand new track, TDG.

The Colombian hitmaker’s new release is believed to be aimed at her former partner and his new girlfriend Clara Chia, with the pointed lyrics "seeing you with the new one hurt me".

She goes on to sing: "What we lived I forgot. And that is what has offended you. And life has got even better for me. You are no longer welcome here.

"I saw what your girlfriend threw at me. That doesn’t even make me angry, I laugh, I laugh."

In a different part of the track, the Waka Waka songstress belts out that she is "better, harder and lighter" since the breakup.

The singer teams up with fellow Colombian star Karol G, who split from Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA two years ago and the song is also believed to be about her former lover.

Shakira announced her split from Pique after 11 years in June amid rumours he cheated on her.

The couple have two children together.

Last month, the artist made reference to their split in detail on the track BZRP Music Session #53, which features Argentine DJ Bizarrap.

Making a thinly-veiled dig at her former partner, she said on the track: “I’m worth two 22s. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”

In another part of the song, the 45-year-old appeared to take aim at Pique’s new squeeze as she belted out: “She’s got the name of a good person. Clearly is not how it sounds.”

Also in the song, the Hips Don’t Lie songstress made reference to her £13 million tax fraud trial in Spain, singing: “You left me the mother-in-law as a neighbour. With the press at my door and a debt with the taxman.

“You thought you’d hurt me and I came back stronger. Women don’t cry any more, women invoice.”

In November, it was announced that Shakira gained primary custody of her two children with Pique.

“We have signed a custody agreement,” Shakira and Pique, 35, said in a joint statement at the time.

“Our sole objective is to provide our children with the utmost security and protection and hope that they can continue with their lives in a safe and calm environment.”
