Shakira appears to have slammed Gerard Pique in her new song after splitting up from the Barcelona star.
The mum-of-two, 45, called it quits with the footballer, 35, earlier this year after a decade together.
Gerard was then papped with 23-year-old Clara Chi Marti - and now it looks like Shakira has thrown shade at her ex.
Her new song Monotonia references the “narcissism” and “cold as Christmas” attitude of a mystery man.
The video for the track features the singer crying in a supermarket aisle - eating crisps.
“It wasn’t your fault, nor was it mine," Shakira sings.
"It was monotony’s fault. I never said anything but it hurt me. I knew this would happen.
"It’s a necessary goodbye. What used to be incredible became routine.
"Your lips don’t taste of anything to me. Now it’s the complete opposite."
"You left me because of your narcissism. You forgot what you used to be."
"Distant with your attitude, and that filled me with worry."
A source close to Shakira said the singer was fuming after Gerard went public with his reported new girlfriend.
The Hips Don't Lie star was said to be fuming he broke a deal to keep his new relationship with the 23-year-old secret for a year.
The father-of-two was said to have been seeing the PR student, who allegedly works for him, for months.
Shakira recently spoke for the first time about her split with the Spanish sports star in Elle magazine saying there had been days when she had to "pick up the pieces of me from the floor."
Speaking about Gerard's rumoured romance with Clara, Spanish presenter Laura Roige said: “I am excited, it is evident that there is a relationship. I have seen a lot of love, it will hurt Shakira a lot, because this is a Gerard Pique that we have never seen. I have never seen him like this with the singer.”
Gerard and Shakira first met when the footballer was on set of the video for the singer's 2010 World Cup single 'Waka Waka' before starting a relationship later that year. They share two children, sons Milan and Sasha.
A brief statement, released by the singer’s communication agency, confirmed the pair’s split in June, saying : “We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”
The Mirror has contacted Shakira and Gerard's reps for comment.
