Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finishes seventh in Clutch Player of the Year voting

The league announced its winner for the inaugural Clutch Player of the Year on Tuesday: Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox.

Fox finished with 460 points, significantly more than runner-up Jimmy Butler (104).

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is also a finalist for Most Improved Player of the Year, finished seventh in the voting with 31 points.

The 24-year-old enjoyed the best season of his career, averaging a career-high 31.4 points on 62.6 true-shooting percentage. He was the best player on the overachieving 40-42 Thunder, who finished their season with a postseason win before losing in the play-in tournament.
